"A heart that changes is a greater miracle than the parting of the Red Sea."

Hello everyone. It has been some time since I have updated Tyler's Blog. Three months ago he finally got his visa and was sent to the MTC in Sou Paulo for a week. Then it was off to Salvador where he was sent to the small town of Dias Davila.

Dias Davila proved to be a tough area. It had been "white washed" which basically means that that the missionaries were pulled out for an amount of time and new ones were put in later with no contacts or referrals to work with. It was a good learning experience for him. That didn't stop him from having some fun learning to sand board!
You know why that is? It's because we're really hard to change!! This is why we're lower than the dust of the earth, because the dust will obey the Lord no matter what! WE don't!!! So let's all be more obedient to the Lord, stretch ourselves a little more. We don't have much time before Christ makes his glorious appearance, prepare for it.
I love you all keep in touch and know I am praying for each and everyone of you. Never lose track of the Savior in your life!

My first area its a small town in the middle of the rain Forrest called Dias Davila its pretty hot here that's for sure I am going to come back to Florida and think it is cold. We walked over 100 miles last week i lost 10 lbs and got a few blisters. So i am going to come back super ripped lol. Its basically the Caribbean no joke tons of coconuts and just that life style. I have learned so much this week though and a big thing was that we need to stop taking our american lifestyle for granted. these people are over the top poor. most of the houses we go in don't have floors there aren't streets on most roads and a lot of people have plastic for a roof..... but what I have noticed is that these people who have next to nothing have everything. When you see them they are always with there family and you can tell they love there family. Everyone is happy they enjoy there lives. They don't take anything for granted. Everything they get they turn to god as it is a blessing. They walk 20 or more miles to church each Sunday!! I am so grateful to be here and will kill myself for these people the Lord loves them. I thought in church Lord help these people and He hit me ... why do you think I sent you! I have heard their prayers and I answered them with you! Remember your life and remember your blessings. Know that each one is a blessing of the Lord and don't take it for granted anymore! Pay your tithing these people pay there tithing and don't have next to anything. Most make about 20 U.S dollars a week and still pay it because they know that's how the lord is blessing them with food. I love you all!!!

Well this week was great I got transferred! So Tuesday I went to the bus station at 8 am and I sat there with other missionaries who were being transferred until 10:30 pm and then I caught a bus to Juazeiro an 8 hr bus ride through the night. It was alright though I was on a double decked bus on the top sitting exactly over the bus driver in the very front and they had some windows so you could see everything. I just sat and listened to music and slept. In this area I am still teaching English. It is always fun. Life is great here. Pray for the people not for me. I am grateful for all of you keep your heads up and know that life is great!!!! Love ya all!!
