So this week was super great! So much happened!! So we had zone conference this week 8 hrs. of sitting in the church and listening can be a little exhausting at times. Hope everyone is doing great. So on Friday we had a baptism the Rizende family.  It was super awesome they are the Brazilian family I have been teaching I attached some photos of their family they are the most adorable family perfect Mormon family! There little daughter Julia is to die for she is so adorable. They're older daughter Barbara is not a member but we have now started teaching her as well she just lives up in San Francisco so it’s challenging at time. So it’s so crazy they were super awesome. They got the holy ghost yesterday in church and that was super cool to be a part of. There baptism was super cool to be a part of cuz it was all in Portuguese.  It was super awesome that they got baptized by a member who speaks Portuguese so that was awesome and I was a witness and said a talk in Portuguese.  Brian is the other picture he was baptized on Saturday super great guy Elder Barber baptized him and then I confirmed him in church yesterday it was a great experience to be a part of. So this Saturday I am in for a treat cuz I have my last Brazilian investigator getting baptized up in Stanford so we get to go there and I am baptizing her its super awesome! So I decided that I am going to baptize her in Portuguese as well so it’s going to be great she is super excited the hardest part to memorize was her name it’s like 6 names!! Super funny. So life here is going great lots of work. We baptized 6 people in our zone this weekend which is just so crazy so the lord is truly hastening his work. It is crazy to think I will baptize a Brazilian in both Cali and Brazil pretty funny but it is great the lord knows his sheep and he counts them and it is our job to find them keep on smiling and stay magical!!

Heyyyy!

...On Wednesday we got to go to the Oakland temple!! Ahhhh It was soooo awesome!! I enjoyed it the temple is sooo pretty it overlooks the enire bay on a mountain side super cool. I took a bunch of pictures but i completly forgot my camera at HOME! I keep doing that everytime i need something hahaha sooo i guess i will try to get those out to you all next monday.

Mannnn!! Confrence was awesome! And you all know it! I found so many of those amazing talks that just hit me square in the heart. It made every bit of that experince worth while! I found that when you take notes confrence goes by super fast this is both a good thing and a bad thing cuz then once it was over yesterday i got all sad and wanted more haha. Its crazzzy to think by next confrence i will most likely be in BRAZIL!! That will def be and interesting thing but i am so excited and anxious for it. We taught another lesson to the rizendez family who is our brazillian family they are so awesome! They always think they need to feed us so they always have pizza its so funny. The man who refered them to us came as well. Oh and we had that awesome Cheese Bread that me and dad bought at the brazillian market haha. Super awesome well because jason was there the whole lesson was in portuguese it was so awesome!! I enjoyed every moment of it and they said they are going to get baptized we had a date for them on the 5th but we got rid of the date cuz we needed to clear some stuff up for them. They are the coolest families thought we watched the finding faith in christ DVD with them in portuguese and that was awesome as well at the end of it fransisco had tears in his eyes and said he felt it in is heart and he has this weird feeling we explained it was the holy ghost and he said i feel amazing i love it. It was awesome so i have no doubt about them other than we were going to watch confrence with them and they got sick so that was a bummer. But they are great. So i got an email from my mission president in brazil i will just post what he said.

Dear Sisters and Elders: Sister Hart and I are so anxious for you to join us here in the ¨melhor missão no mundo!¨
We realize that each mission thinks it is the best (and that´s as it should be) but in our case it´s really true! We are thankful for your service in your current assignment. Keep doing the very best that you can and be very loyal to your mission president and do all he asks you to do.

We invite all of you to fast and pray with us, all of our missionaries and members, this Fast Sunday (Oct. 13) that your visas may be granted soon, that you may join us and begin your grand adventure here in Brazil. You will love it here and have an amazing spiritual experience, I promise!

May the Lord continue to pour out His Spirit upon you.

Nós te amamos! Pres. and Sister Hart

He seems like he is an awesome mission president i am super excited to meet him one day. He gave us a newsletter for that mission as well and he said to study up hahhaa soooo i think i will print it off haha. Well anyways if you didnt watch confrence i suggest you do because it was AMAZING! It will build your soul and help fortify it. The more that we strive to understand the gospel and really study it the more that you will see that the spirit is working thorugh you and building you up. The more you can build that steady and sure foundation which we all need in this world today. The possibilities are endless to what we can strive to do. If you can dream it you can do it as a wise mad named Disney once said. That is so true if you want something go and get it there is no reason to let it float around in your minds take action and go and acomplish it. Through faith anything is possible! It is by the trials of our faith that we are humbled and we come to know christ! Strive to look for all things. Sorry for such a long message LOVE YOU ALL!

Heyyy So i have arrived here in beautiful San Jose hahha i am serving in Santa Clara i guess i don't really know where i am to be honest haha. sooo because me and the other two are visa waiters we were all put with zone leaders to be a trio and we are already in the field because they have no need to do orientation cuz its not our mission is what the mission president says. He is a pretty intense mission president but seems awesome. So its weird being in a trio with zone leaders they have already given me alot of responsibility haha. Right when they picked me up they told me heyyy so tonight its kinda weird but perfect we have a lesson with a Brazilian family and non of us speak Portuguese soo i am totally going to be teaching my very first investigator lesson in Portuguese by myself basically at first i thought they were messing with me like a new greeny joke or something and then they were like nope were serious and like they really are..... SUPER NERVOUS but soo excited its pretty awesome hahaha. There are a bunch of Spanish speaking missionaries in my mission and they all try to talk to me but they cant understand me when i speak back lol. I am pretty excited to be here i know that i have stuff to do here the lord is already making that be known to me. anyways below is my new address be sure to hit me up!!  Thanksssss  love youuu

OI!!! Tutobom?? Como esta seu vida???

Holy cow let me tell you that the lord in amazing!!! I have now taught 10 lessons in Portuguese with 3 different investigators!!! The first one i knew was my teacher but last Wednesday he decided to actually teach class. It was super weird when he started to speak English and was like yep i'm not from Brazil i'm from Orem....... Oh how every face in my class turned there smiled into are you kidding me faces haha. It is really funny how the brain works because we thought he was from Brazil our brains made it seems that is facial structure was of a native Brazilian no joke!!! I will not lie to you guys the language is tough! Last Tuesday tho Richard G. Scott came and talked and it was focused as what i thought directly at me in every aspect, He gave us an apostolic blessing that according to our faith the gift of tongues will be manifested unto us. I had been lacking that faith a bit over time but bam the next day after this talk something hit me and Elder Davis and we learned 60 new words and phrases in 4 hrs!!!! Talk about amazing and it was all by the Lords hand! We went into our lesson that day and did not take notes we only took a O livro de Mormon! Holy cow i had never felt the spirit so strong and we committed to baptism! Yesterday we taught a lesson and idk what it was but it was the first lesson and the spirit told me to invite to baptizado so i so did wouldn't you believe it he said yes!! So i know our investigators are just paid actors but we really feel the spirit in every lesson and we legit worry and pray hard for our investigators. Trying to cram so much info in so fast is exhausting tho yesterday i learned 20 new words in 2 hrs and i was dead after i went into a room with my companion turned the light off and just watched spiritual videos on the Mormon channel for like 2 hrs and surprisingly the spirit was still hitting us so hard in that! So i have lost 10lbs since being in the mtc i just get so exhausted and stress and when gym time rolls around everyday i end up running 3-5 miles and its crazzzy! One day i walked into the cafetiria and got super sick and had a fever I layed in bed after and the spirit just hit me and was like go hit the gym because gym time was next i ended up running 3miles and no more fever hahaha it was pretty epic and made my day!!! Oh my gosh my friend Mia sent me krispy kreme dounuts today lucky she did because me and my roomates didnt get breakfast cuz our temple time is at 650 on Tuesdays so every tuesday we dont get breakfast so when we got back bam there were doughnuts so we had breakfast so i am glad for that one hahha! It was pretty cool tho cuz she sent them with some MTCdilivery.com website or something i had never heard of if but now i have and i noticed soooo many elders get stuff from it hahaha its awesome! So i think Michayla left the MTC yesterday i was looking for her sunday to say goodbye but with the MTC having 4000 students its kinda hard hahaha. At times i feel like the MTC is spiritual prison your just always cooped up and wanting to leave 24/7 but other times i am extremely grateful for it i know it sucks being in class 18hrs a day and learning a language that feels confusing but then i just listen to the Asian speaking classes across the hall and i decide i will stick with learning Portuguese i swear those Mongolians only speak like in some weird vocal tones cuz that's all i hear all day is super odd grunting i just want to go and shut there door and say stop not cool i don't like being grunting at im Brazilian hahaha but im just kidding its just funny. So this week we get to Skype actual investigators in Brazil im way stoked!!! Also Dad im not sure why missionaries flip gang sings i like to think they are more islander sings that we flash because the islanders are cool so that's what the hang loose signs are about thanks for asking :) hahaha. Its crazzy cuz in my district two elders are going to cape Verde and in my zone everyone is going all over to Africa to Portugal and Brazil haha. We are getting a new district in our zone tomorrow so that will be interesting to talk to them. The MTC is amazing and God looks out for us here you can feel it. If you guys ever feel the urge you can write me letter and of course use the free dearelder service and then i will get it same day its pretty awesomeeee just saying hahaha. Everyday you should take time to go somewhere by yourself and pray to your heavenly father i promise that if you do this he will make things be known unto you. If you seek for his guidance and put in his work he will bring unto you anything he needs to or wants to. I have been so stressed about my visa it is crazzzy i try not to think about it ive come to the conclusion that i will go where he wants me to go i don't even care about my visa anymore. There was a gal in my zone who turned in her visa stuff a week before we left and bam she got it last week and left last Tuesday. She is also from Florida and apparently they're visas are the fastest ones. Only problem with me is that she said the church made her go down to the consulate and pay a fee that the church gave her money to pay and turn in all her forms. Dad you should call the travel office and ask if you can do that to hurry up the process cuz they wont let me even fill out the online application yet cuz they think it will expire which means my visa hasn't even been applied for yet hahha. Im not so much worried about my visa im just worried im never going to get to Brazil and i want to sooo much hahaha. Well I know with all my faith it will work out and i promise you that if you do the lords work and become like the character of Christ he will bless you. Everyone read the Character of Christ talk by Elder Bednar it is amazing Amor Voce!!!!!

Oi! Tudbom!!

Hey so i am on pday today! I got to wake up at 6am and go to the Temple it was awesome!! It is pretty crazy here. Life is completly different its sunday everyday as everyone would expect hahah. I have a bunch of pictures but this computuer wont let me so i will go to 1M and send the pictures later today, and i have ran into Michayla, and Chad Pexton. Its pretty funny cuz Chad is in my same zone haha. The language is coming with time it is taking alot of work and a bunch of frustration. Its pretty crazzy tho! So the first day we got here, had no time to think as you all could imagine. We went straight to class and meetings all dayy. But bam first day were already learning the language. Second day we learn some more. Third day we taught our first lesson in portuguese!! So crazzzy! Since then we have taught the same investigator in portuguese 4 times! Its been intense. Let me tell you something tho no matter the language what ive experienced in the lessons is that no matter what if the spirit has a message it wants you to share you will share it. All of my lessons out of no where i have pulled random porutugese phrases out of no where and yesterday we challenged Pedro to baptismo it was awesome! Pai celestial is otimo!!! Pedro excepted baptism and its set for saturday. Now like im sure justin will say pedro is as we just found out actually our teacher. They played it off like he was an investigator though. The spirit was amazing in those lessons. We brought pedro to tears in our second lesson the spirit was so strong! eu belive em O livro de Mormon! I believe in A Igreja de jesus cristo dos santos dos ultimos dias! it is amazing being here.

So my companions name is Elder Davis! He is 18 and fresh out of high school. He is a super cool cat tho. He is philipino but from Gallop NM. He speaks togaloge (however you spell that) and this language is driving him insane just as much as me hahaha its intense and super exhausting. I swear i was looking around in the cafetiria the other day and the look on everones faces was the look of a zombie we are all so out of it. Its getting really crazzy cuz im slowly forgetting english and how to spell its weird. Everywhere i go as well i swear they are all speaking in portuguese! Last night i was in class and we were learning something and i was super confused but i didnt know about what and then i finally got up and one on one worked with the teacher than i realized i was confused because what i was reading was in english and i couldnt understand..... WHAT THE HECK!! hahaha super funny.

So besides being exhausted all the time me and Elder Davis run a 2 miles a day! its super killer late at night but its the only thing keeping us together haha ive actually been losing weight pretty funny!! No news on my visa yet although a sister in my district who is from florida left today to the brazil MTC because her visa came through. Kinda stinks tho cuz she just turned everything in last week and she already go her visa and ive been waiting since april. The consolate is strage like that tho. Everyone in our building is going to south america and its so funny and night we all get together and do our visa push-ups we just say visa over and over again while doing push-ups so funny. We are all pretty weird. Some days i wish i was just going stateside so i can almost be done here at the MTC and not have to worry about this stressful language and being here forever! Thats when i realize tho that God wants me to do better and to become better and thats why im doing all that ive been doing. Its pretty crazzy tho because i just get random envy for the state side missionaries. Today at the temple tho God calmed me down and let me know i could do it i mean ive taught 4 lessons in portuguese i just get frustrated to quick haha but he knows i can do it and i know i can so i just need to take it one step at a time and enjoy it all. God has been working miracles here through so many of us missionaries and no matter where we go, the whole reason we are here is to go where God wants us to go. I will go wherever God wants me to go! Has tanner got his call yet? If he goes foreign tell him to prepare so much before he leaves and to get ready for all it brings its alot on your plate but god knows you can handle it.

Love you all,

Elder Lee
